
Below are some common questions, click on each one to view the answer, regarding Results from our Weekly Friday Night Competitions:
– My athlete placed 1st in their race last week but ResultsHQ is showing 6th?
The results reflect overall finish times for each Age Group. Some reasons are:
• There were multiple heats across the event;
• The Age Group is split due to large numbers and compete in separate groups; or
• The Age Group is a split age group and also had multiple heats.
– I Timed My Athlete at a Different Time to what is Recorded?
Under the guidelines set out by LANSW we can only record the official times captured by our Timekeepers. We have a designated Timekeeper for each of our 3 tracks who are consistent with each race.
– My athlete threw/jumped further or higher than what has been recorded?
When throws or jumps are recorded these ideally need to be completed by the Age Manager and 2 volunteer parents. The results are read back as they are being recorded as an attempt to avoid errors being made.
– I think my athlete broke a record but it hasn’t been recorded?
Club Records are awarded on performances achieved during Friday Night competition at Ash Road.
IMPORTANT: A Committee Member must verify all records. for records broken in field events, a Committee Member must be called to measure. For track events, the record must be checked and signed by the Timekeeper.
– My trial results are not displayed?
- We can’t enter results for those who are participating in the trial period because they need to be a registered member with an allocated rego number to sync from LANSW registration system over to ResultsHQ for that competition night – it CANNOT be changed retrospectively.
- This is also noted on our Trial Registration form in the T&C’s.
– I can’t access ResultsHQ?
Enter the email address that was used in the online registration process at the start of this season. This is normally the same address from previous seasons – IF it is different then you will need to contact us to review and amend any necessary changes.
– When should I logon for the first time?
You should logon as soon as possible. This will provide you with current results for your athlete and also later in the year, some schools require reports or proof of results for their school Athletics Carnivals. It is a lot easier and quicker to login now and have access than be rushing in the “Off-Season” when schools have deadlines.
